Testimonials

“Our two dogs (Keisha & Bailey) love ‘A Country Home’ so they're really excited when they realise they're at the "retreat", and are always happy (and wonderfully worn out) when we pick them up - whether its from just a day-stay while we spend some time in Christchurch or if they're staying overnight while we're away somewhere. We really like that each ‘kennel’ has both a warm, dry indoor area as well as an secure outdoor run, and are provided access to well-fenced areas for roaming and playing during the day. Richard and Julie are wonderfully friendly and helpful, and clearly know how to manage the animals and run a top notch operation. After considering several kennels, ‘A Country Home’ was head and shoulders above the others - we recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place for their pets…”

“We breed German Short-haired Pointers, great home-loving dogs. We have used several boarding kennels in Canterbury and Marlborough, but have found A Country Home is by far the best. Excellent runs, fully insulated sleeping quarters (underfloor heating is great!), plenty of open spaces, fresh air, good food and very well fenced. Our dogs always come home in superb condition, and return very happily to the kennels. We wouldn't put our dogs anywhere else: we fully recommend them.”
