At A Country Home, your dog can enjoy plenty of space, sun and fun in our exceptional boarding facilities. Each of our guests is special and will be made to feel at home within our facilities, whether they are young or elderly, or visiting for a long or short stay.

At A Country Home, we offer the best care and attention for your pet including:

  • Large under-floor heated units
  • Comfy beds
  • A minimum of five hours exercise daily
  • Outdoor exercise and play areas flowing from all units onto large play exercise areas.
  • Kennels that are located in a very sunny environment
  • Grooming for dogs on longer visits
  • Personal care including grooming and shampooing on request, dogs staying for longer periods will be treated to a complimentary shampoo before heading home
  • We only use the best foods for your pets and include brands such as Science Diet, Eukanuba and Chunky Chicken / Lamb & Rice Rolls
  • Remedial stays (please enquire for further information)
  • All special needs, including medical, are catered for at no extra cost.

We are the South Island base for the Greyhounds as Pets (GAP) programme, an independent charitable trust established by Greyhound Racing New Zealand to find loving homes for retired greyhounds.

A Country Home prepares retired greyhounds for adoption into their new homes, matching up the right home with the right animal. Support for new greyhound owners is available 24-7.
